Vice President

Gray Grieve

During college, Dr. Grieve earned degrees in both Biology and Philosophy. He then earned a degree in General Dentistry from the University of California. While attending dental school, he helped found the Student Dental Research Group, of which he was elected President for two years. For his research in Oral Biology during dental school, he was granted two Fellowships from the National Institute of Health. Dr. Grieve was elected to the National Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, for his exceptional performance as a student.

Following dental school, Dr. Grieve earned a Post-Doctoral Orthodontic Fellowship from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Grieve continued his research in Oral Biology, and he earned a Master of Science degree. His involvement in the dental profession and the local community has been extensive since establishing his Eugene practice in 1991. As the organizer for the Lane County Children's Dental Health Month in the early 90's, he has seen the program develop into the National "Give Kids a Smile Day"!

He has been elected to all of the offices in the Lane County Dental Society and has authored a book titled "How To Choose An Orthodontist". The doctor has the honor of being listed in Who's Who of Professionals Nationally, and he has published orthodontic and dental research in the Journal of Dental Research, as well as the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. His research is continually cited by other researchers both nationally and internationally as a basis for their orthodontic research projects. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, The World Federation of Orthodontists, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Grieve is an educator and has lectured nationally and internationally on the topics of oral health for adults and orthodontics for children and adults. His personal commitment to the families that visit his office enables him to provide the best and most personally prescribed treatment possible. His commitment to continuing education, technology, and the ongoing improvements of procedures and his treatment facility allow him to continue to provide the absolute best and most conscientious treatment and obtain the finest results for children, adolescents and adults.

Dr. Grieve is also a loving parent. He and his wife, Denise, a University of Oregon graduate and dental hygienist, are proud parents of a fine young boy, William, and a beautiful young girl, Elizabeth! They enjoy traveling as a family, swimming, hiking, camping, half-marathons, golf (He is the course record holder at Bandon Trails 66!), Lego bricks, and most outdoor activities of Lane County and the beautiful West Coast.
